Editing Your Content

Everything GenSermon generates is editable. You can fine-tune any section before publishing or downloading.

How to Edit

  1. Hover over any content section — you'll see a small pencil icon appear

  2. Click the pencil icon (or click directly on the text)

  3. The section becomes editable with a highlighted border

  4. Make your changes

  5. Click away or press Enter to save

Changes save automatically — no need to click a separate save button.

What You Can Edit

  • Sermon title — Click it at the top of the page

  • Speaker name — Click it below the title

  • Sermon date — Click the date to change it

  • Sermon summary — Click to expand and edit

  • Discussion questions — Edit individual questions

  • Pastoral encouragements — Edit each of the 3 variations

  • Social media captions — Edit the caption text under each graphic

  • YouTube, PCO, and podcast metadata — Edit titles and descriptions

Tips

  • Edit before publishing — Any changes you make will be reflected when you publish to YouTube, Planning Center, or email

  • Edits are saved instantly — You'll see a brief spinner, then your changes are saved

  • You can come back later — Edits are permanent. Come back to any sermon anytime to continue editing

If a section is empty, you'll see gray italic text that says "Empty." Click it to add content.
